I lent money to someone and received a signed blank check and a stamped agreement. His mother signed the stamp as a witness. He promised to return the money after six months, but now he’s avoiding me by keeping his phone off. When I visited his house, his sister opened the door, but neither he nor his mother or brother were home. I submitted all documents to the local councilor, but this won’t help. Can I file a case at the police station? I know about check dishonor, but can I resolve this without going to court?
Answer:
You can sue with the check that you can sue in the court as well as the court you can sue. Czech cases cannot be filed at the police station.
