Can a Son Challenge Inheritance if Father Favours 2nd Family?

Question:

If a father unjustly deprives his only son of inheritance and transfers all his property to his second wife and their daughter, can the son take any legal action? Or is it the father’s private matter to decide how to distribute his property?

Answer:

For followers of Muslim law, property is owned by inheritance, so a Muslim can give his property to anyone during his lifetime, there is nothing to do with the law or others. But the deprived children should understand the father not to deprive any child.
